On Monday 17 August, 2020, NESTA executive members held an emergency meeting with the HKPTU Vice-President and LEGCO Panel on Education Deputy Chairman, Mr Ip Kin Yuen.
A wide range of issues were discussed, including:
- the practice of principals requiring teachers and students to come to school during COVID
- retirement and contract extensions after 60
- medical insurance for NETs
Mr Ip agreed to look into these issues with the EDB. A full record of the meeting minutes will be posted in the forum shortly.
